Source Code Release for GPL/LGPL Components of HYPEREV Firmware
At GearUP, we respect intellectual property rights and are committed to complying with open-source licensing requirements.
Our HYPEREV router utilizes certain software components licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL), and other open-source licenses. In accordance with the terms of these licenses, we are making the corresponding source code for these specific open-source components available to the public.
Scope of the Release
This release is strictly limited to the software components used in our firmware that are governed by open-source licenses requiring source code redistribution. This includes:
- The modified Linux Kernel source code used for this platform.
- Other GPL/LGPL-licensed utilities and libraries integrated into the firmware (such as BusyBox and iptables, where applicable).
- The accompanying build scripts and configurations necessary to compile these specific open-source components.
What is NOT Included
To protect hardware security, comply with third-party non-disclosure agreements, and safeguard our proprietary intellectual property, this release does not include:
- Proprietary wireless, chipset, or hardware acceleration drivers.
- GearUP’s proprietary application-layer software, including but not limited to the web management interface (Web UI), cloud service integrations, security protocols, and proprietary configuration files.
- Any private cryptographic keys, digital signatures, or security certificates used to secure the device's boot process.
