What Should I Do If I See An "IP Address Conflict" When Configuring My Console After Starting Acceleration On PC?
For PlayStation, Please follow the steps below:
- Switch back to the previous network connection settings on your Xbox/PlayStation.
- Change any manually configured IP settings (such as IP and DNS) to "Automatic."
- Set up a new network connection and follow the instructions in the app to configure the IP, DNS, and other details.
For XBOX:
This issue occurs because a previous network connection (either Wi-Fi or wired) on your Xbox has already reserved the static IP in its network configuration. To resolve this, please try the following:
Forget All Existing Connections:
- Go to Network settings > Manage wireless networks > Manage my networks.
- Forget all existing connections and set up a new connection.
- If your Xbox was previously connected via a wired connection, reconnect it, set the IP to "Automatic," and then set up a new connection.
- Go to Settings > Network settings > Advanced settings.
- Select Alternate MAC Address and choose Clear.
- This will remove any cached network configurations, including IP addresses tied to previous connections.
- Your Xbox will restart.
- Press and hold the power button on the Xbox for 10 seconds until it fully powers off.
- Unplug the Xbox from the power outlet for 1-2 minutes to clear the temporary network cache.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
