Introduction

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta officially begins on August 22. The Beta will be split into two weekends, but players need early access to participate in Weekend One.

Pre-ordering the game is one way to gain access. Watching Twitch streams and earning a Drop is another. However, if you do not want to spend time watching streams and waiting for a Drop, GearUP offers a more convenient option. Here is how it works.

About the Twitch Drop

  • Event Time: Friday, August 21, 2026, at 9:00 AM PDT
  • Reward: A Weekend One Beta access code
  • Availability: All players have a chance to receive one, but codes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

If You Don’t Want to Watch Streams

You may only want to play the game and feel that watching streams is a waste of time. Streams can also consume your network bandwidth and device resources. Fortunately, there is another option.

GearUP’s Twitch Drops feature now supports AFK Twitch Drops for Modern Warfare 4. Simply link your account through the GearUP website or client, and the system will automatically track your viewing progress. You can close the browser or use your device for other tasks while the progress continues. Once the requirement is complete, return to claim your reward.

The GearUP client provides the full feature set. It also includes GearUP’s core network optimization service, which helps reduce latency and improve connection stability. This can be especially useful when playing multiplayer matches during the Beta.
