Network Latency vs. Performance Stutter

Network latency is a delay between your input and the server's response. Signs include: actions register with a noticeable delay, opponents rubberband or teleport, your own game renders smoothly but actions feel disconnected.

Performance stutter is your PC struggling to render the game. Signs include: the entire screen stutters regardless of online/offline status, frame rate drops during replays.

The simplest test: Play an offline match or training mode. If smooth, the problem is network. If stuttery, it's performance.
